The essential Dissolution, or Death, which is the reduction of solids into Waters of Darkness, is followed by 'Loves Rescue', which means that with the help of Fire (notice that the space between the legs of the rescuer forms a triangle of fire) the artist collects upon the surface of the Bath the precious substance which is the true agent of the Philosophers Stone. Therefore any Dissolution must be followed by Coagulation until the perfect state of the Solar Fixity is reached.
